Twelve Shots

Follow Shot: To record this shot I got behind the subject and recorded Abbi going back to class.

Close Up: To record this shot i got as close as possible to the subject that i was focusing on, which would be her arm pressing down on the water fountain so that she could drink water.

Over the shoulder: I recorded this shot by placing the camera over my friends shoulder

Cameo shot:  To shoot this shot I asked Abbi to stand in front of a white wall so I can record her.

High angle shot: To get this shot Abbi was standing on the balcony to record me walking back to class. The recording from the balcony gives it the view as if you were looking down at the courtyard.

Reaction shot: This shot demonstrates Abbi's emotions and how she was scared.

Low angle shot: To record this shot I squatted and recorded Abbi sliding down the rail of the staircase.

Full shot: This shot shows my subjects whole body from head to toe and I had to get a certain distance away from my subject so I can get her whole body in the shot.

Eye level shot: To record this shot I got pretty close to my subject and recorded her at a chin level so it would look like you were actually looking at her.

Two shot: To film this shot I stood farther away from my two subjects until I could see both of them in the frame. I recorded them both engaging in a conversation.

Extreme close up: To get this shot I got as close to Abbie's eye and tried to get as much detail that I could possible get. I went to a place that was well lit so that the colors in her eye would pop out more.

Point of view shot: To get this shot Abbi placed the camera in front of me so that it would look like the camera was what I was seeing with my own eyes.

  1. The low angle shot really captures movement in a playful unique "Jonathan" type of way; following his own style you can see this playfulness in other angles such as the follow shot. The extreme close up was a memorizing shot, taking into account the lighting he is able to create a memorizing mood to the shot. The colors found in the eye leaves the viewer in awe. With the Eye level shot i felt as it i was really looking at the subject. This creates a more personal vibe.
